.Art of War and Love by Honey Mavryck (Author) is a second chance romance novel I received a PDF copy of from Voracious Readers in exchange for this review. Just look at man-candy and those arms/ If I hadn’t read Art of War and Love I would have thought the main character was a wrestler or body builder but neither is the case. Art of War and Love is a second chance romance like a lot of books I’ve read in the past. The only flaw I had is at first it was a little slow but does pick up.
Hunter and Callie knew each other in college but he leaves to be a Navy Seal which explains his BICEPS that would make grown women swoon. Back then neither Hunter or Callie had their act together at the time. Like a lot of us have done when finishing college made the story remind me of real-life.
When they meet again Callie is still sassy but has an art exhibition to plan and you guessed it Hunter is the gruff owner of the venue. The spark is still strong between Hunter and Callie but they have to get over their past. The fact that Hunter left Callie and disappeared leaves it hard for her to trust him again. her is the part men would like if they were to read the story. Hunter is not a touchy feely type but soon comes to care deeply reminding me of my husband at times.
