April 26 National Help a Horse Day #NationalHelpAHorseDay

I wish Suzzie was here today because she loved Horses and would have liked to have a Paint just like my sister while I would prefer a Clydesdale. How about you. Do you like Horses? Would you like to have a Horse or even two because one would get lonely? We can learn about Horses and study Horses then God willing we could go ride Horses in our Homeschool PE Class. Would you like to come with us?

I also have a story I will share with you about my mom’s family The Stewart’s which is my grandmother Dorie’s family. They raise horses and race them all through the States and also have ridden in many Stock Show Rodeos and even been part of the Rodeo. Along with David who used to ride Bulls with his best friend Ed. See mom I did get me a Cowboy. In a little bit I think I will go and listen to Mama’s Don’t Let your Babies Be A Cowboy by Waylon Jennings and Wilie Nelson. Would you like to listen to the song with me?

National Help a Horse Day is celebrated on April 26 Join us in saddling up to create awareness around taking better care of horses. Horses hold a high status in the United States and National Helps a Horse Day encourages people to come together and safeguard Horses from any neglect. Which happens more than people realize.

Back in 2013, the American Society for Prevention of Cruelty to Animals (ASPCA) launched an equine campaign in the form of Help a Horse Day to create awareness and promote the protection of neglected and abused horses across the country. National Help a Horse Day has more than one purpose. National Help A Horse Day also serves as a national day of acknowledgment for equine organizations to highlight the work they do to save at-risk horses. Moreover, it even showcases how people can join them to make a difference in the equine community.

Thousands of horses across the country are abandoned and face poor care. Although rescues and shelters work round the clock to take care of them, these organizations still need adequate support to sustain their efforts. Thus, ever since the launch of National Help a Horse Day, many programs have been and continue to be conceptualized to build a better life for horses.

Thank you,

Glenda, Charlie and David Cates
