As part of my Grace by Grace: Room to Room Bathroom Reset, I’ve been taking a closer look at the products we keep in our men’s bathroom and the everyday routines that happen in that space. As I was cleaning I found more Gifts David had received through out the years for different Gift Guides we’ve put together.
In our home a bathroom isn’t just a place to get ready in the morning. It is where we start our day, prepare for what is ahead, and take a few quiet moments for ourselves. When I was organizing and refreshing our bathroom, I realized that the products we use tell a story about our family.
One of those products is the Scotch Porter Conditioning Beard Balm. I like when David uses this because of the Warm Spice & Musk smell and how soft his beard becomes. Now that Charlie has begun to shave he says he never wants facial hair but if he had it he would also use this.
This is a product that belongs to David’s side of the bathroom although I’ve seen Charlie’s friend’s check it out. David has a long, full beard that definitely needs a little extra care. It isn’t a short, perfectly trimmed beard that takes no effort. His beard is part of who he is, but like anything else, it needs maintenance to look and feel its best.
The Scotch Porter Conditioning Beard Balm is designed to soften, shape, and nourish the beard without feeling heavy. It helps lock in moisture, reduce frizz, soften coarse hair, and calm dryness while giving light control for shaping and styling.
What David likes about it is that it helps his beard feel more manageable without making it feel stiff or weighed down. It adds a natural shine and helps tame those areas that need a little extra attention. The beard balm works well for different beard lengths, and it is especially helpful for someone like David who has a fuller beard and needs something that can help keep it looking cared for.
After washing his beard, David uses a small amount of the beard balm, warms it between his palms, and works it through his beard. He focuses on the ends and the areas that tend to become dry or coarse. After applying it, he can shape his beard with his hands or use a beard comb or brush to finish his look. David chooses a comb when he is done.
One thing I’ve learned during this bathroom reset is that organization isn’t just about having a pretty space. It is about creating a space that works for the people who live there. David’s beard products have a home in our bathroom because they are part of his daily routine. Keeping the things we use organized makes mornings easier and helps our bathroom feel less cluttered.
The little routines matter. Taking care of ourselves matters. And creating a home that supports our family — one room at a time — is part of what makes our everyday moments special.
