Christmas Gift Guide 23: My Recordable Storytime: Sweet Dreams, Night Night

I would like to share a new addition to our Christmas Gift Guide 23: My Recordable Storytime: Sweet Dreams, Night Night by  JD Green (Author), Joanne Partis (Illustrator). I received in exchange for a spot in our Gift Guide and this review.

Charlie decided to sleep in this morning and David was working. I couldn’t get outside to walk because they were working on our parking lot. I didn’t want to watch tv and it was a tad chilly in the house this morning. I decided to find a book to cuddle up on the couch with a cup of Hot Chocolate. Would you like to join me?

I decided I would read Sweet Dreams, Night Night since Charlie and I had read Welcome Little One and later in the week Charlie and I will be reading I Love You So… and my favorite Miracle On 34th Street even though its before Thanksgiving and Halloween isn’t here yet. I still want to read that book as soon as possible.

I love the colors they used on the cover of the book. There is two Bears touching noses reminding me of how Eskimo’s kiss. These bears look like they are friendly there is no, reason to be scared. This is a recordable storybook which I wish I had knew about when Charlie as early because I would have recorded a message for him. Instead Charlie and I are going to put the books up until his best friend has there baby and give it to them.

The instructions on how to record the message is very easy to understand and even children from 10 and up could do a message even though it would be better coming from there parents or grandparents. I like that in the front of the book is a page to write a inscription of who the book is to and who it’s from.

It’s night time and the little bear doesn’t want to go to sleep. His mom takes him on a adventure to see how his friends get to sleep. First me see Ducklings. Next is Deer and no, I am not going to tell you what to do to get to sleep. You need to pick up a copy of Sweet Dreams, Night Night to find out.

David came in when I was thumbing through the book looking at the illustrations and he let me know he liked the Hedgehogs. Next is Birds. Now that isn’t all the animals the Bear is learning about but to see what other animals there is you should pick up a copy of Sweet Dreams, Night Night. The perfect book for newborns through adults who will enjoy recording a message and looking at all of the illustrations.

I like how the author included a countdown to bedtime using 10 steps and I plan on trying out this evening. Your welcome to come spend the night with us and use the countdown with us. Then we can write what our dreams are to our children on the page provided. Charlie can’t wait to practice drawing the animals in our Homeschool Art Class. Would you like to join me as I color the pages for Charlie?
