Curious George Feeds the Animals

This evening as I was siting on the couch I was thinking about Suzzane and when she was little. I loved helping her get ready for bed at night. Then we would cuddle in her bed and I would read Curious George Feeds The Animals to Suzzie. Sometimes this was the only book I would read and other times we would read 3 or 4 books. Which meant I was always purchasing new books for her so we would have plenty to read throughout the year.

One staple in our home was Curious George as well as the Cat In The Hat Books. This year as I was shopping for my new grand baby and my nieces and nephews I knew I wanted to get them some books for there parents to read to them at night before bed time. I just had to decide which books I would get them and would it be the same one or a different one for each child.

When I was going through a box looking for something of Suzzane I had kept and I found her copy of Curious George Feeds The Animals and I knew this was the perfect book. As it was her way of telling me to go and pick it up for them because I had searched for this book before and tore this box apart looking for it and it was lost and I couldn’t find it anywhere.

 H. A. Rey
Hans Augusto Rey was born in Hamburg, Germany in 1898. As a child, he spent much of his free time in that city’s famous Hagenbeck Zoo drawing animals. After serving in the army during World War I, he studied philology and natural science at the University of Hamburg. He then married Margret Rey and they moved to Montmartre for four years. The manuscript for the first Curious George books was one of the few items the Reys carried with them on their bicycles when they escaped from Paris in 1940. Eventually, they made their way to the United States, and Curious George was published in 1941. Curious George has been published in many languages, including French, German, Japanese, Afrikaans, and Norwegian. Additional Curious George books followed, as well as such other favorites as CECILY G. AND THE NINE MONKEYS and FIND THE CONSTELLATIONS.
