Easter Gift Guide 2023: The Secret Life of Bugs and Other Little Critters

I’m so happy to be back and share a new children’s book from Chronicle Books. Which is the newest addition to our Easter Gift Guide 2023: The Secret Life of Bugs and Other Little Critters. I received a physical copy of The Secret Life of Bugs and Other Little Critters in exchange for this spot in the Easter Gift Guide and this review.

Ever since my daughter’s passing, I believe when a Butterfly flies by Suzzie is visiting. My sister Deborah and my best friend Ever since my daughter’s passing, I believe when a Butterfly flies by she is visiting just as my sister Deborah and my best friend Debbie also believe this and its why I can’t wait to share The Secret Life of Bugs and Other Little Critters with them.

I can’t wait for you to see all the different Animals the Author has shared with us and the correct names of animals like the Yellow Swallowtail Butterfly which we can research and study in our Homeschool Class. Or the Owl at the end of the book. To keep the learning going once you’ve finished reading The Secret Life of Bugs and Other Little Critters take your children on a Field Trip to a Butterfly Farm or a Zoo.

This book is for younger children, but I can see children of all ages enjoying the storyline as well as adults. If you have someone who enjoys art then they can use The Secret Life of Bugs and Other Little Critters in their Art projects like Charlie, and I did. If your looking for something to do outside, you could set up your own Garden and plant flowers that would attract Butterflies and lets see if a Yellow Swallowtail Butterfly visits your or my home.

If there like me, they may get stopped on the cover just looking at the pretty yellow Butterfly. Then you open the book and there is a cut out of that Butterfly Charlie used in his art class to create a picture for my office wall. I love how this book is interactive like with the Honeybee’s and there hive turning this into not only a storybook but a teachable moment using hands on learning.

There was words in here Charlie hadn’t heard of which we can use in our Language Arts Vocabulary Class.
