Yesterday I took Hamburger Meat out of the freezer with no, idea what to make. I asked Charlie and he said Hamburgers sounded good. When David called I let him know we wanted Hamburgers for dinner on our Coleman Tailgaiting Grill.

Then we waited for David to get home and cook dinner for us. Some Mondays feel like they fly by, and others seem to unfold one piece at a time. Today definitely felt like one of those days where we were playing catch-up from everything that had been going on lately.

Time seemed to crawl by at we waited for David to get home. But before he could come home he had errands to in including stopping by his moms house to pick up shirts for Charlie and Bradely for work this morning from Mike. The good news is that little by little, things are starting to get back on track as the boys begin work today. Thank the Lord.

David worked overtime recently, so we’ve both been trying to get caught up on things around the house. Between cleaning, organizing, blogging, and making sure everyone is ready for the week ahead, it felt like there was always one more thing that needed attention. The boys finally began gathering paperwork and getting prepared for work, and everyone seems to be settling back into their normal routines.

One thing I was especially happy about was the weather. After dealing with rain and wondering what the evening would bring, it finally cleared up enough for David to fire up the Coleman Tailgaiting Grill. Tonight he’s grilling hamburgers, and I couldn’t be happier about that. Although, halfway through cooking we ran out of Propane for the grill.

That was okay because half the Hamburgers was cooked on the grill and the rest on the stove because there is just something different about food cooked outside. Maybe it’s the smell of the grill, maybe it’s knowing someone else is doing the cooking for a change, or maybe it’s simply because grilled food feels like summer.

Whatever the reason, I’m looking forward to dinner. Sometimes the best meals aren’t fancy meals they’re the meals that bring everyone together after a long day. A simple Hamburger on the grill can feel just as special as a meal that takes hours to prepare when you’re sharing it with the people you love.

As for me, I’m winding down for the evening. The blog posts are up, which always feels good when I can check them off my list. There are still images to add and things to finish up throughout the week, but the biggest hurdle was getting the content written and published.

Before I call it a night, I had planned to spend a little time pinning some of the posts we’ve been working on. Pinterest is one of those tasks that’s easy to push aside when life gets busy, but it makes a difference over time. Even a handful of pins today is better than none at all. Then I decided to spend time with David and do the pinning over the weekend which is fine when you own your own business.

After that, I’m done for the evening. No more writing. No more scheduling. No more staring at a screen trying to squeeze one more task into the day. Just dinner, family, and hopefully a quiet evening watching a movie or two while David sleeps and Charlie plays his video games while waiting on Bradley.

That’s one thing I’ve learned over the years: there will always be another blog post to write tomorrow and there will always be another email to answer, another image to create, and another task waiting on a list somewhere. At some point, you have to call it a day and enjoy the people sitting in the room with you.

So that’s exactly what I’m planning to do. The Hamburgers are about to hit the Coleman Tailgaiting Grill, the day is winding down, and for the first time in a while, it feels like we’re finally getting caught up. And honestly, that’s a pretty good way to end a Monday.

Thank you,

Glenda, Charlie and David Cates
