⭐ WEEKEND PREP CHECKLIST
I wanted to make the weekend easier for you so I’ve created a list of what you will need when attending these events. If I forgot anything or you can think of anything else let me know and I will get them added to the site right away.
✔ Shopping List
- Water and I also pack some of the Water Flavor packs
- Snacks
- Sandwich stuff and look for things like peanut Butter that will not spoil in the heat
- Fruit or Crackers and Cheese if you have a Ice Chest
- Sunscreen
- Bug spray
- $5–$10 lunch items per person but this can add up in a hurry so get things people can split to lower the cost or packs of Lunch Meat and Bread or Peanut Butter
- Gas money but also put away a little extra for unexpected things like a Flt Tire
- Cash for vendors encase you find something you want to purchase.
✔ Who Can Go
- Kids
- Teens
- Adults
- Seniors
- Pets (event‑specific) Before bringing your Pet make sure they have their tags and check with the even you are attending for any pet rules they have.
- Sensory‑friendly options included
✔ What to Pack
- Chairs
- Blankets
- Stroller
- Portable charger
- Medications
- Sensory items
- Extra clothes for kids
- Snacks and Water if you bring the pets
- A tote bag for anything you collect
- I also bring a small notebook and pen for thing I want to remember or check out in the future.
✔ Budget Tips
If you have the money, choose one “splurge” per outing per person and everyone doesn’t have to do the same thing. Remind the kids this is how much they have to spend and once it’s gone its gone.
Eat before you go
Bring water in a refillable water bottle and anytime you find a place to fill it do it so you never run out of water.
Pack snacks to keep arguments at a minimum let everyone pick 3 to 4 snacks they want to bring.
Use free parking, when possible, even if it’s a little far from the event because walking is good and for someone like me it lets me get my steps in while saving money which is a win for my family.
Thank you,
Glenda, Charlie and David Cates
