FRIENDSHIPPING: The Art of Finding Friends, Being Friends, and Keeping Friends

This is a review for FRIENDSHIPPING: The Art of Finding Friends, Being Friends, and Keeping Friends I was sent a copy in exchange for this post.

For Charlie maintaining friendships has been the hardest thing he has ever had to go through. Charlie has been blessed to have 4 friends since he was in Kindergarten.

Kayden moved away two years ago. As first they stayed in touch and we still see his mom but Kayden has moved on. Everyone once in a while Charlie mentions missing him.

Then there was Aiden and Charlie and him were inseparable for years. Then Aiden started hanging out with kids who bullied Charlie so Charlie pulled away.

We invited Adien to Charlie’s Birthday because Charlie wanted to see him. But I could tell Aiden didn’t want to be there. Since then we haven’t heard from him. Only his Mom on Mother’s Day.

Then there is Bradley Miller and we always knew he had Mental Issues but they’ve gotten worse. Charlie has distanced himself from Bradley because he is Smoking, Robbing Stores and his temper is out of control.

I’m so proud of Charlie but its sad because Bradley still wants to be friends but we can’t trust him even though he needs a friend. Charlie says he wishes things would return to when they were little.

Then there is Bradly next door who is more like a son to us. Charlie and him are developing different interests. Bradley mom tried to make Charlie choose between B and another friend so Charlie started to walk away from him as well.

There trying to rebuild there friendship but its hard for me to trust him after they hurt Charlie. As night I hear Charlie saying he wished he had friends.

For me to hear this breaks my heart because I have friends from Elementary, High School and Junior High still as well as family while David and Charlie have no, one.

I’m PRAYING that through FRIENDSHIPPING: The Art of Finding Friends, Being Friends, and Keeping Friends Charlie and I can use the things we learned and help him gain new friends as well as reconnect with his older friends.

I hope you are well! As graduation season approaches and schools let out for Summer, the challenge of making friends in new environments – whether online or in person—looms over young people and adults alike.
