I wish you could see the cover of “FROM THE POCKET OF AN OVERCOAT” by R Vincent (Author) and the little old man that reminded me of my dad. Although I don’t think he would wear a raincoat although with my dad you never know. The City is in the background with a stoplight showing its green and time to walk.

This book is for children 3 and up but after reading the story adults and children of all ages would enjoy the story. on each page is a small picture including a black cat or the moon. The Cat reminded me of my nephew’s Cat Shadow we had watched for a little bit.

Charlie thought it was cool that the book was dedicated to Matt and Max because he used to have a dog named Max we still miss. We meet Mr. Buckles a famer who delivers Apples and a homeless lady named Sally. Max was tucked into her pocket. Mr. Buckles exchanges the Apples for the Kitten. I think that would be a good trade and so did Charlie.

This way Sally could find a home for herself but Max was sad to leave Sally and she was sad to see him go. They go on a ride and end up at Mr. Buckles farm. You should purchase a copy of “FROM THE POCKET OF AN OVERCOAT then you can see all the things that happen on the Farm.

We learn Mr. Buckles had a new eye prescription which Charlie and I need as well. How about you? You should see Pepe a Rooster on the fence and read the book to see why he is afraid. They get to the house and inside the laundry room are dogs. If you want to know how may dogs there is and there names you will need to pick up a copy of the book.

The puppy’s had a meeting to see if Max was worthy to join the family. I am not going to tell you what happened because you need to read the book for yourself. Max tried to be like his brothers including barking. Could you see a Cat doing that? The next day he explores the home. You should see what max finds that puts him on a new path which you will have to stay tuned to find out what happens.

About the book:

Inspired by the real-life Max the cat, From the Pocket of an Overcoat tells the story of an affable cat as he finds his way to a new home — moving from the cozy overcoat pocket of Sally in the City, to the country with Farmer Buckles and his other animals. Along the way, he discovers a true sense of belonging within his new family.
