#HomeschoolWithBoardGames: Monopoly Gamer

David has always enjoyed playing Mario from Nintendo. When Charlie and I say Monopoly Gamer at Walmart during Christmas a couple years ago Charlie asked to get the game for David.

But when we went back they were sold out. When Back to School Season arrived Charlie and I looked through the Games as Walmart and we found Monopoly Gamer.

Reading Class:

Set Monopoly Gamer up and ask the players to come sit down at the table. Read the instructions to them. Ask them questions to make sure they understand what is going to happen and why. Let them ask you questions to make sure you understand what is going to happen.

Write notes inside your Reading Journal and include notes you will want to look back on throughout the year. Include who played the Game. Who won and who lost. Were they good winners and losers?

Math:

Count all of the Game pieces including the Money. Share the answer with the players. Ask one of the players to create 5 Math problems for you to work out. Then let them create 5 Math problems for you to work out.

Using the Money count all the bills together. Now subtract the ones from the total. Multiply the five dollar bills and twenty dollar bills. Create a division problem.

Make up 5 more Math problems and figure out the answers and show your work.

Write everything down inside your Math Journal.
