I always try and share our real life with you when posting on The Mommies Reviews so If you’ve been reading my blog for very long, you know skincare isn’t something we spend a lot of time talking about around our house. As a mom over 60, I’ve never really been interested in skincare products, makeup, or beauty routines. Most days I’m more concerned about getting through my to-do list than worrying about what products I’m putting on my face.
David is pretty much the same way. If a product doesn’t help him get through a long workday, he’s usually not interested. Lately, though, skincare has become a bigger topic around our house because of Charlie and his friend Bradley.
Charlie is 19 now, and like many young men his age, he’s becoming more aware of his appearance. Between spending time with friends, thinking about dating, and simply growing up, Charlie is paying more attention to his skin than he did when he was younger.
Unfortunately, Charlie’s skin has also been breaking out more. No, matter what I purchase to help with his breakouts nothing is working and his acne is getting worse. This embarrasses Charlie and keeps him from wanting to hang out with his friends.
Before you ask the acne is not happening because Charlie eats a lot of greasy foods or because he drinks a lot of Soda’s Charlie eats pretty well most of the time and what he does eat is healthy. The bigger issue seems to be the amount of time Charlie spends outdoors in the Texas heat. When you’re outside for hours at a time, sweat, oil, and dirt can build up quickly, and Charlie has definitely noticed the difference in his skin.
That’s one reason we were interested in trying the LIVAURA Retinol Men’s Face Wipes. At first, I honestly thought David would be the primary user. Since the wipes are marketed toward men and contain retinol, they seemed like something that would appeal more to David than to a teenager.
I was wrong. The first thing Charlie liked about the wipes is how easy they were to use. There was no need to stop what he was doing, wash his face, and go through a whole routine. Charlie could simply grab a wipe and clean away some of the sweat and oil that had built up throughout the day.
After using the wipes for a while, Charlie told me he liked how clean and refreshed his face felt. While no skincare product is going to magically solve every breakout, keeping sweat, oil, and dirt from sitting on his skin all day certainly doesn’t hurt.
David ended up becoming just as big a fan. Anyone who works outdoors understands how uncomfortable it can feel after spending hours in the heat. By lunchtime, or even before heading home after work, David often feels covered in sweat and grime. He started carrying e LIVAURA Retinol Men’s Face Wipes. in his work bag and quickly discovered how convenient they were.
His workers saw David using the wipes and now they plan on purchasing some for themselves. If you have a man in your life these would make a wonderful Father’s Day Gift and it’s why you will find these wipes inside our Father’s Day Gift Guide.
Now they’re something he reaches for regularly throughout the week. He likes being able to wipe his face clean before lunch or before coming into the house after work. It’s a simple thing, but sometimes those little comforts make a long day a little easier.

What both David and Charlie noticed was that the wipes left their skin feeling clean without feeling dry. Some products leave behind a sticky residue or make your skin feel tight afterward, but e LIVAURA Retinol Men’s Face Wipes didn’t. Their skin simply felt fresh, clean, and more comfortable.
Then there was Bradley. If you have teenagers or young adults in your family, you’ll probably understand this immediately. Whatever Charlie is using, Bradley usually wants to try too. Bradley will be 20 in February and has a full-time girlfriend, so he’s paying attention to his appearance as well. Unlike Charlie, his skin is generally pretty clear and he doesn’t struggle with breakouts nearly as much.
What makes us laugh is that Bradley has a habit of borrowing skincare products from Charlie and David instead of purchasing his own. If there’s a product sitting on the bathroom counter, chances are Bradley is going to give it a try even before asking if its okay,
One day I noticed Bradely using e LIVAURA Retinol Men’s Face Wipes. and I asked what Bradley thought about the wipes. Bradley said he liked the way the wipes made his skin feel cleaner and smoother. He also mentioned that he hoped to buy some for himself someday when he had the extra money.
At that point, I realized we had three completely different people using the same product for three different reasons. Charlie liked e LIVAURA Retinol Men’s Face Wipes because they helped remove sweat and oil after spending time outdoors. David liked the wipes because they helped him freshen up during long days of outdoor work. Bradley simply enjoyed the clean, smooth feeling the wipes left behind.
As a mom, that’s probably what impressed me most. It’s not often that one product gets positive feedback from three different young men with different skin types, different routines, and different reasons for using it. But these wipes did and that is a Godsend for busy moms.
The LIVAURA Retinol Men’s Face Wipes have become one of those products that quietly found a place in our daily lives. They’re easy to use, convenient to carry, and provide a quick way to remove sweat, oil, and dirt when a full face wash isn’t practical.
When a product becomes part of your family’s routine instead of sitting forgotten in a drawer, that’s usually the best review you can give.
Thank you,
Glenda, Charlie and David Cates
