Goor morning, welcome to a new week I hope and Pray June was everything you wanted as we come to the end of the month and prepare for July. As we move through the morning I wanted to share a Morning Blessing & Weekly Thoughts including A Morning Prayer and Weekly Blessing for Families with you.
For me there is something special about a quiet Monday morning. Before the emails begin, even though the dishes are piled up waiting to be done, even though work is calling our names and our schedules fill every empty minute, there is a moment when the world seems to stand still. The sun slowly rises, the birds begin to sing, and God gently reminds us that His mercies are new every single morning.
That reminder is something I need every week. Like many families, we have busy days. David heads off to work, Charlie has his own schedule, Bradley keeps us laughing, the dogs always want breakfast before anyone else, and there always seems to be another load of dishes waiting. Some weeks are full of celebrations, while others bring unexpected challenges. I’ve learned that the way we begin our week often shapes the rest of it.
When I spend just a few quiet minutes with myself, a cup of coffee, and a conversation with God, my heart feels lighter. My problems haven’t disappeared, but my perspective changes. Instead of carrying the weight of the week by myself, I remember that I don’t have to.
God is already walking ahead of me. He knows every appointment on my calendar. He knows every bill that needs to be paid. He knows every prayer I haven’t spoken out loud. He knows the worries I carry for my family. Most importantly, He reminds me that none of us are walking through life alone.
Our family isn’t perfect. We make mistakes. We have days when we’re tired, frustrated, or overwhelmed. Yet we’ve also seen God’s faithfulness over and over again. Looking back, I can see so many moments when He provided exactly what we needed—even when we couldn’t see how things would work out.
That’s why I love beginning each Monday with a blessing instead of a burden. Instead of asking, “What could go wrong this week?” I try to ask, “God, where will You show Your goodness today?” Sometimes His blessings come in big ways. Sometimes they’re found in the smallest moments—a shared meal around the table, a phone call from someone we love, laughter filling the house, a beautiful sunrise, or simply making it safely home after a long day. Those little blessings add up to a beautiful life.
This Week’s Prayer

Please watch over our families this week.
Give us patience when life becomes stressful.
Give us wisdom when we have difficult decisions to make.
Help us speak words that encourage instead of criticize.
Protect our homes, our children, our marriages, and those we love.
Provide for every family facing financial struggles.
Bring healing to those who are sick, comfort to those who are grieving, and hope to those who feel discouraged.
Help us notice the blessings that often go unseen.
May our homes be filled with kindness, laughter, forgiveness, and peace.
Guide our steps, strengthen our faith, and remind us every day that You are always with us.
In Jesus’ name,
Amen.
