Pigs Are Prepared by Hans Wilheim

I was sent a copy of Pigs Are Prepared written by Hans Wilheim in exchange for this review.

Pigs Are Prepared by [Wilhelm, Hans, Salcedo, Erica]

Once again, I found myself wishing Suzzane was here this morning as I sat down to read Pigs Are Prepared because Suzzie loved Pigs and we were going to use Pigs when redecorating our kitchen. Which after Suzzie passed away I never did.

As for this new book I wouldn’t mind setting it up in my Classroom as a Memorial for Suzzie. But also, as a go to book for Charlie and his friends to read not only during Free Time but also during our Lessons on Animals, Farm Animals. and Pigs.

As well as for our Art Class when Charlie is learning to draw Pigs. As I was talking to Charlie, he also let me know he could use Pigs Are Prepared in our Creative Writing Class and expand on the story which I like as this allows Charlie to use his imganation.

Once we read the story Charlie and I found ourselves lost inside the book and we wanted to read this book again and again. As we did, I noticed Charlie didn’t stumble over the words and that he was having so much fun with the story that this is the perfect book for Charlie to read to his Cousins.

I love how Pigs Are Prepared teaches children what to do in different situations and shows them what they will need. Allowing us to set up a Scavenger Hunt in our home and see if we can find these items and do the things the Pigs did in the book including getting out our Bike helmets and using our hand signals keeping us safe when riding our bikes out in the rain which it is doing today.
