Day #7 Song of the Day Challenge: A Song I Want To Drive To

In this mornings prompt for Day #7 Song of the Day Challenge: A Song I Want To Drive To I thought I would go back to my to my earlier days. Then Charlie said no, mom you should pick the theme from thew move Cars.

I thought more about the challenge and I decided I would share all three songs with you. Then you can leave me a comment and let me know which song you would like to drive to and why.

Life Is A Highway: by Rascal Flatts

Rascal Flatts - Life Is a Highway (From "Cars"/Official Video)

Charlie would like to know which song you like from the movies you watch? Then Charlie wanted me to remind you Top Gun is another good movie to drive to as there is a song that talks about Speed.

We aren’t going to tell you what the song says because we think you should watch the movie. Or how about Grease when they’re racing for Pinks there is music here as well.

Life Is a Highway” is an original song by Tom Cochrane, from his 1991 album Mad Mad World. The song was Cochrane’s most famous song, becoming a number one hit in his native Canada. The song also peaked at number six on the Billboard charts in the United States in the summer of 1992. The song has been covered by Rascal Flatts for the Cars soundtrack, as well as by Chris LeDouxJerry Jeff Walker, and Home Free.

Life is a HighwayRascal FlattsLife’s like a road that you travel on
When there’s one day here and the next day gone
Sometimes you bend, sometimes you stand
Sometimes you turn your back to the wind
There’s a world outside every darkened door
Where blues won’t haunt you anymore
Where the brave are free and lovers soar
Come ride with me to the distant shore
We won’t hesitate to break down the garden gate
There’s not much time left today
Life is a highway
I want to ride it all night long
If you’re going my way
Well, I want to drive it all night long
Through all these cities and all these towns
It’s in my blood and it’s all around
I love you now like I loved you then
This is the road and these are the hands
From Mozambique to those Memphis nights
The Khyber Pass to Vancouver’s lights
Knock me…Source: Musixmatch
