Texas Discovery Gardens

The other Day David, Charlie and I were visiting Dallas and the area around the State Park when we came upon Texas Discovery Gardens. As we were walking around I let David and Charlie know I would like to visit here one day. With my Birthday right around the corner I am Praying they will bring me as its the perfect Homeschool Field Trip for Charlie.

Did you know there is also a Snakes of Texas section here. OMG its a God thing my Uncle Chuck isn’t here because thee is no, way we would get him inside now and if truth be none I am a little scared to because I don’t care for SNAKES at all. While Charlie and David would make them there best friends and bring all of them home if they could.

For our Art Class there is even a Art Gallery for Charlie and I to wander through. Which would allow Charlie to study new Artist and there techniques. While introducing us to Artist we might not have heard of. The Exhibit I am most excited to share with Charlie is the Garden Trains.

Trains usually run Saturday-Sunday 10:30am-5pm.

These are G- gauge garden trains with Bix Tex and Attractions including watching over the trains which are built to last outdoors year-round! If you would like to know if the trains are running before you come visit, call our front desk at (214) 428-7476 x 341.

Everyone know Suzzane has passed away and I like to believe she is a Butterfly flying free who stops by at times to visit us. Inside The Discovery Center is Rosine Smith Sammons Butterfly House and Insectarium which I want to visit more that life itself.

Texas Discovery Gardens is where children and adults discover and learn to sustain the natural world!
The grounds feature a 7.5 acre organic garden full of native and adapted plants. Inside, our two-story Rosine Smith Sammons Butterfly House and Insectarium transport you to a tropical rainforest, complete with hundreds of free-flying butterflies.
