Popeyes Louisiana Kitchen has been a part of my life since my mom worked at the Laundromat and would ask me to get lunch from there. Now it’s Charlie’s go to place for Spicy Chicken Sandwiches and its also Gerald’s go to place. Even though the Chciken is spicy I can eat the mild as long as I don’t eat a lot of it.
Before you ask yes, David also like’s Popeye’s Chicken and which is nice because they just opened 2 new locations close to use. One on Beach Street in Fort Worth and the second location over in Richland Hills off Rufe Snow close to the Walmart we shop at. Making both locations easy to get to.
Last night’s dinner at Popeyes Louisiana Kitchen – Beach Street location turned into one of those straightforward, budget-friendly meals that ends up stretching far beyond the original plan. Which is a Godsend with the prices of groceries.
A big part of what made the visit work was a set of mail coupons that regularly arrive at least once a month. The coupons tend to include rotating specials that make it easy to turn a single stop into multiple meals without spending much. On top of that, there are also ongoing digital offers available through the website, including welcome deals like a free apple pie with a qualifying purchase and discounted add-ons that stack value quickly when used correctly.
Inside the restaurant, the ordering process started with a kiosk prompt, but the coupon setup required a staff interaction instead. Once service began, the experience smoothed out and everything moved efficiently. The staff handled multiple situations at once with patience, keeping things calm even when communication barriers came up with another customer.
The strongest part of the entire visit came from how the coupon structure worked. One deal centered around a large drink purchase that triggered a free chicken and biscuit meal, turning a roughly three-dollar drink into the key that unlocked food. A second coupon added a full $5.99 meal that included chicken, a side, and a biscuit. Together, they created multiple portions of food for a very low total cost.
Gerald had one meal with the chicken and sides for dinner last night and the other meal as an early morning snack, while the biscuits were set aside for later. The chicken itself was cooked properly, juicy, and consistent, with solid portion sizes that made the value feel even stronger. The spicy option had a noticeable kick, but Gerald said it could have gone up one level. For me personally when I eat here, I like the mild which stays comfortable and easy to enjoy without heat overpowering the flavor.
The value didn’t stop at dinner. The saved biscuits became my breakfast/ brunch meal the next morning warmed t and turned into a second meal with grape jelly, creating a simple snack that stretched the purchase into another day entirely. That’s where the coupons really showed their strength—one visit naturally becoming multiple eating moments.
The restaurant environment itself was clean and well maintained, with good lighting, a tidy dining area, and a parking lot that felt organized and safe. The only real delay came at the counter before ordering, but once the process started, everything moved smoothly.
Overall, the combination of mail coupons, digital offers, and smart use of leftovers turned a single stop into a low-cost, multi-meal experience that carried well beyond the original dinner. Along with the free refills of the drink David and I were able to share while waiting on the food and refill, so I had half of the Soda last night and the other half this morning.
Thank you,
Glenda, Charlie and David Cates
