BIC Flex 5 Razor Review: A Razor Both My Husband and Son Recommend

The other day I was heading to Walmart. Charlie gave me a list of items he needed including a razor. I picked out the one I thought Charlie would like. Which was a Godsend because once Charlie and David were able to check out the razor at home they both liked it a lot. I don’t know about in your home but finding a razor that both my husband and my son agree on doesn’t happen very often, but the BIC Flex 5 Razor has become a favorite in our home.

Originally, I bought this razor for my son Charlie. After trying it, David borrowed it one day because it comes with 5 blades and his razor had broken. David was so impressed that I ended up going back to Walmart to buy him one of his own. That’s usually the best recommendation a product can get in our family!

The BIC Flex 5 features five flexible blades that help provide a close, comfortable shave. It also includes a weighted handle that feels secure in your hand and a 40-degree pivoting head that follows the contours of your face more naturally. One feature both of the guys especially appreciate is the precision edging blade, which makes trimming around sideburns and other detailed areas much easier.

Another thing we like is that the handle is designed to use replaceable cartridges instead of throwing away the entire razor each time. It’s convenient and helps reduce waste. I’m planning to look into purchasing replacement cartridges because this is definitely one they’ll continue using.

The only thing I still need to research is how readily available the replacement cartridges are in local stores and online. Once I find a dependable source, this will easily become one of our regular household purchases. When two different people with different shaving preferences both reach for the same razor, that’s a pretty strong endorsement.

The BIC Flex 5 has earned a permanent spot in our bathroom, and I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend it to anyone looking for a comfortable, dependable razor at an affordable price. For Christmas I plan on purchasing this Razor for Bradley to have at our home for the night he stays here and its also in our Back to School Gift Guide.
