I wish I had a copy of Goodnight, West Texas when Charlie was little because I know Charlie and his friends would have enjoyed the story a lot just as I did. I love how the Author shares places like the Concho River with us my family could have visited and studied when we were #Homeschooling Charlie.
Then we learn about San Angelo another new City, ie State for my family to visit. On to Abilene we go. In the book Charlie and I were able to discuss wind turbines and fields of Cotton our grandparents might have picked as children.
Next, we check out Commanche Trail Park were Big Spring got its name. Up next is Midland a Town I’ve actually been to. Have you? I have a question for you. Have you heard of Odesa Meteor Crater? If not, you will in this story.
How about Monahans Sandhills? I place I had to look up because I’d never heard of it. How about Balmorhea State Park? have you heard of a Dust Devil or Tumbleweed or has your children? If not, you will want to check out Goodnight, West Texas.
In the story we also meet new animals like the Javelinas leading to even more studies if your #Homeschooling your children. If you’ve ever wanted to check out the Mountains, you should check out Fort Davis Mountains.
If you’re into Art look up Marfa artists another #teachingmoment for my family. Next up is Big Bend and you should see the beautiful illustrations drawing us in. Join us in reading this fun children’s picture book for children in elementary school.
