Morning Reset After Being Sick

Relaxation/ Rest/ Regroup/ Me-Time

David was off last yesterday and I must tell you yesterday felt like a real turning point. After being sick last week, I finally got back to moving again. It wasn’t anything extreme—just over an hour of walking and a little over 5,000 steps—but it meant a lot more than the numbers show.

When you’ve been out of routine because your body just isn’t cooperating, even basic movement feels different. You don’t realize how much you rely on that everyday energy until it’s not there. So getting back up and out again, even in a small way, felt like progress.

I made sure not to push it too far. The rest of the day stayed balanced and intentional so I didn’t overdo anything or set myself back. That part mattered just as much as the walking itself—learning when to stop and let my body recover instead of trying to “catch up” all at once.

It’s easy to want to jump right back into normal life after being sick, but I’m learning that recovery doesn’t really work that way. It’s slower, more uneven, and requires a little patience. Still, yesterday felt like the first real step back into routine. Not perfect, not fully back—but moving in the right direction again.

Not only on my diet but also in my personal life as I was able to come up with a lot of new post just from dating my husband and also dating myself which allows me to keep the circle unbroken as I work to keep my circus and the Monkes none as my family in line.

What did you do yeaterday?

Thank you,

Glenda, Charlie and David Cates
