Let me tell you Homeschooling a 14 year old boy will either make you stronger or lead you to DRINK. Before you ask me which Homeschooling a boy has caused me to do. It’s both at times. But finding books like Watercolor Snacks: Inspiring Lessons for Sketching and Painting Your Favorite Foods makes teaching Charlie easier and reminds me I can do this.

I just need to stay strong and as a family we can and will get through anything. Which is what lead me to having Charlie take a Cooking Class. But with Charlie’s love of Arts I knew I needed to incorporate it into our lessons as well. But I couldn’t teach Art if you paid me to.

Now that I have Watercolor Snacks: Inspiring Lessons for Sketching and Painting Your Favorite Foods Charlie and I will be able to create new Recipes using the topics of Art inside the book for our family to try out when we host our Monthly Taste Testing Party. Would you like to join us?

I looked through the book I found many pictures I can’t wait to try draw with Charlie. But for our first time I let Charlie look through the book. Charlie has decided we should start with Pancakes and call and see if Lily and Jason can come over for Breakfast and Art.

I will pick up the supplies to make Pancakes and Cookie Cutters to cut them out with. While the Pancakes are cooking we can all draw a stack of Pancakes and write what we are grateful for to hang on our Art Wall for all of our Guests to see.

For Christmas with the list of Supplies in the front of the book I plan on making a Supply Wish List on Amazon to hand out for Christmas and Charlie’s Birthday then in the New Year we will have all the supplies we need to begin our Art Class as we go over the techniques and lessons inside the book.
