Why City Trends Is One of Our Favorite Places for Affordable Everyday Essentials

City Trends

When my family is shopping not every shopping trip is about finding the latest trends or spending a lot of money. Sometimes it is simply about taking care of the things families need most. After running a few errands, we made one more stop at City Trends because we knew we could find several everyday items without spending a fortune.

Since City Trends opened it has become one of those stores we stop by whenever we need a few basics. It may not always be the first place people think of, but it has become one of our favorite budget-friendly stops.

Since City Trends opened it has become one of those stores David and I stop by whenever we need a few basics from socks to clothes. It may not always be the first place people think of, but it has become one of our favorite budget-friendly stops. Even my son a young man and his friend Bradley like shopping her and so does B’s girlfriend Ghost.

One thing we almost always pick up is socks. It seems like socks disappear in the laundry around our house, and Charlie can wear through them faster than I can keep up. Instead of spending a lot of money replacing them, we usually grab multipacks at City Trends which is one of those little budget wins that really helps.

On our latest visit, I noticed several beautiful pajama sets for women. They looked soft and comfortable, and I loved seeing cute styles without department store prices. Sometimes it’s nice to treat yourself to something cozy without feeling guilty about spending too much.

Charlie also found several hoodies that caught his eye. Teenagers or young men as Charlie likes to be called always needs another hoodie or at least they think they do, and City Trends had plenty of styles and colors at prices that made replacing worn-out favorites much easier.

As we walked through the store, I found myself browsing the home décor section. There were wall art, and seasonal items that could help make a home feel welcoming without spending hundreds of dollars. I love finding inexpensive ways to freshen up a room or add a little personality to our home.

Another area I always enjoy looking through is the costume jewelry section even though I don’t wear jewelry. They have earrings, necklaces, bracelets, and fun accessories that can dress up an outfit without costing a fortune. Sometimes the little things bring the biggest smiles. I even found a ring and necklace for Charlie.

I know we’ve talked about the water bottles available there because they always seem to have colorful styles and trendy designs that make drinking more water just a little more fun. I don’t know about you but I like having extra water bottles around the house, especially during the hot Texas summers. Because the boys take them and forget to bring them back.

Another section that always catches our attention is the snack aisle. City Trends often carries fun and unique candy, along with snack foods you don’t always see everywhere else. It makes shopping feel a little more like a treasure hunt because you never know what you’ll discover.

One thing I really appreciate is that City Trends helps families stretch their budgets. Whether you need clothing, accessories, home décor, or simple household basics, there are affordable options throughout the store. Along with Gifts during the Holidays.

And before long, back-to-school season will be here. City Trends usually offers great prices on clothes and essentials, which can be a huge help for parents trying to prepare their children for a new school year without overspending. Those savings can really add up when you’re buying for growing kids, teenagers or adults.

I wanted to remind you not every shopping trip needs to be glamorous. Real life is full of replacing socks, finding another hoodie, picking up snacks, and occasionally bringing home something pretty for yourself or your home. Those little purchases may seem ordinary, but they are often the things that make family life run a little smoother. That’s one reason City Trends continues to be one of our favorite places for affordable everyday essentials.

Have you been to City Trends? if so what is your favorite items to purchase and why?

Thank you,

Glenda, Charlie and David Cates
