Charlie and I are excited to share 2 #Holidays with you which falls on February 5th which celebrates National Chocolate Fondue Day #ChocolateFondueDay & February 5th also celebrates World Nutella Day #WorldNutellaDay.
I don’t believe Charlie and I’ve ever had Chocolate Fondue even though we have a Fondue Pot so I might make it this evening and we can do a #movienite would you want to join us? We can even celebrate World Nutella Day and serve it with the Fondue.
I don’t know about you, but I believe I will pass on Nutella. As for David, I’m sure he will have no, problem trying Nutella. I’ve included a Kid-Friendly Nutella Cookie recipe in case you don’t want to do a Fondue Party and celebrate #ChcolateFondue. If your family loves Nutella, you’re definitely not alone. This creamy chocolate‑hazelnut spread has been a pantry favorite for generations, turning simple snacks into something magical with just one swipe of the spoon. But behind that familiar jar is a surprisingly fun history that kids (and parents!) will love learning about.
Nutella was created in Italy after World War II, when cocoa was scarce and expensive. A clever pastry maker named Pietro Ferrero stretched the chocolate by blending it with roasted hazelnuts—an ingredient that grew abundantly in his region. The result was a delicious, affordable treat that families adored. By 1964, the spread we now know as Nutella officially made its debut, and it quickly became a global sensation.
Today, Nutella is enjoyed in more than 160 countries, and the world eats so much of it that you could circle the globe 1.8 times with the amount of Nutella jars sold each year. There’s even a World Nutella Day celebrated every February 5th, created by fans who simply couldn’t get enough.
Whether you spread it on toast, swirl it into pancakes, or bake it into soft, kid‑friendly cookies, Nutella brings a little joy to every bite. And honestly—what’s better than a recipe that gets kids excited to help in the kitchen?
