Some things become part of your family without you even realizing it. For my family, one of those things has always been iced tea. From my grandmother’s kitchen to her front porch to my parents home and now my mother’s in laws home to my home you would find Iced Tea in everyone’s Ice Box.
For me personally I grew up drinking iced tea from the time I was a little girl sitting on my grandmother Dorie’s front porch at her duplex. Some of my favorite memories are those evenings when we would sit outside with my grandmother and grandfather, enjoying the quiet of the night and a cold glass of tea.
Back then, there was always an iced tea pitcher in the icebox. It was usually Lipton tea because that was what we had available, and I don’t remember Milo’s being around when I was growing up. But tea was always there. It was part of family dinners, porch conversations, and those everyday moments that become memories.
When I was growing up, my parents kept tea in the house too. When Suzanne was little, we still had tea in the icebox, and I remember using instant tea at different times. Then we went to Lipton’s Tea Bags because my dad said it tasted better than instant Tea.
As life changed, that tradition continued. When Suzanne was growing up, tea was still something we kept on hand. Now, all these years later, I still have tea in my icebox. The difference is that today, one of our family favorites is Milo’s Sweet Tea even Charlie will drink.
Milo’s has become a weekly purchase in our home. It is something we pick up regularly, usually at Walmart, although David has also found it at places like Dollar General or Kroger. It has become one of those items that we do not want to run out of. Or they don’t want me to run out of because I get grouchy when I don’t have my Tea. Are you like that?
For me, Milo’s Sweet Tea is a must-have. It reminds me of the homemade sweet tea memories I grew up with but gives me the convenience of grabbing it from the refrigerator when I want a glass. Milo’s offers a variety of teas, lemonades, and fruit punch options, including Sweet Tea, Zero Sugar Sweet Tea, Extra Sweet Tea, Peach Sweet Tea, Sweet Tea and Lemonade, Zero Sugar Lemonade which being a diabetic my brother can have, and Fruit Punch.
David has even started drinking Milo’s tea, which says a lot because everyone in the family has their own favorite drinks. My sister loves Milo’s too. My brother enjoys the unsweet tea. Charlie loves the Peach Tea. And now we are excited to try the Fruit Punch because finding a new flavor is always part of the fun. That is what I love about family favorites. Everyone has their own version of what makes something special.
Milo’s is also a great addition to a Summer Gift Guide because it is not just a drink — it is something you can share. A cold gallon of tea can become part of a backyard gathering, a family barbecue, a picnic, or a simple evening sitting outside enjoying time together.
You can learn more about Milo’s teas, lemonades, and other beverages through Milo’s Tea official website, and it is also available through online shopping options such as Amazon. One of my favorite Milo’s memories actually came later when Milo’s chose me to work with them on a campaign. It was an exciting opportunity, but I want to make something clear: that is not why I drink Milo’s tea. I was already buying it, already keeping it in my icebox, and already sharing it with my family before that moment ever happened.
That is what makes a review special. The best recommendations are not always the things you discover for a campaign. Sometimes they are the things you already love before anyone asks you to share them. For our family, Milo’s Tea has become another chapter in a long tradition of iced tea memories — from my grandmother’s porch, to my parents’ kitchen, to my own icebox today. And sometimes, the simplest things really do bring us home.
What is one drink that has always been part of your family memories? Is iced tea a tradition in your home too?
Thank you,
Glenda, Charlie and David Cates
